Mmm I thought the word for absorbing water was hydroscopic ! … but according to my wife I have been wrong before!

I think the commonly used term is hygroscopic, with a ‘g’.
Scraped about 9 inches of snow off the bonnet, top, and boot.
yes so have may of got it wrong and been corrected not by your wife but a few before me
Apart from one trip out in the last four months, nothing.
But it’s poised and ready for Springtime.
fitted a cobalt exhaust…lovely
Coming up to 62,000 miles so changed the rear diff oil. Pretty straightforward once I’d got the car up on the ramps at the rear and on axle stands at the front. Old oil actually looked pretty good with not too much wear paste on the drain plug magnet.
Gave mine a quick clean in preparation for my first meet tomorrow.
Taxed the Mk2 - it’s been SORN’d since last the end of last September.
Took the hard top off that I put on in Dec. Why I didn’t do it sooner, no idea. Car is far more fun without it. May look to sell it.
Started mine up and moved it out of the garage, it’s not been anywhere since I changed the thermostat last November. Checked the brakes and decided it needs a full set of discs + pads before it goes back on the road in March.
Just a simple oil and filter change.
Paid the road tax
Last two days had Mindy out for good runs! Weather has been decent here so thought I’d make the most of it. First run was up into the hills through Gifford to Whiteadder reservoir (got a thumbs up from a guy with a Porsche convertible who still had his hood up. Mindy’s was down, naturally!)
Second run, down coast road from Port Seton to North Berwick. Another great run, got a wave and a nod from a jaguar XK, then seconds later a wave from a mk3 mx5! Pics from trip
And down the coast
Mmmm…This reminds me. I may change out my diff oil in the Roadster which has probabky been there since 1994 at Hiroshima. Works fine.
Nice bright day so she was washed, polished and waxed!
New discs and pads fitted and cleaned up all the calipers and caliper carriers and finally the strange creaking noise has gone, yay. Much easier than last weeks fuel tank change.
Now to go out and enjoy
