Finally tracked down the clanking noises on rough surfaces in my son’s 1990 Eunos today! When we took it down to the Le Mans 24 race last summer, had an issue with a caliper seizing, so when we got back we have them rebuilt and painted red by Bigg Red. But, they shipped them with the slider pins swapped over on the rear calipers Now correctly installed and we have quiet rear brakes again
As frequently happens it’s a case of ‘Do you want it done by a professional, or do you want to do it right yourself?’. Congratulations on getting it sorted.
A good day today, removed the seats from the car and cleaned and treated them back to matt black.
For 13 years old and 83,000 miles of bottoms they’ve come up nicely.
Trying to wrap my mx5 lol

Finally got round to trying to code a second ignition key to the car - and it worked!
Many thanks to 2_Low (aka Neil) for posting this thread on the forum -
Mounted the refurbed “Design 40” wheels.
I like them; The Guv’nor thinks they look identical to the standard fit 17"… apparently an interest in wheels is “a blokey thing”… -
A few posts above I waffled on about refurbing some centre caps for the 17" wheels. The “Design 40” wheels have different size of centre hole and so my cunning plan to re-fit them was a bust.
Purchased a set of appropriately sized flat/blank silver centre caps via ebay (£6), sanded, primed, sprayed and lacquered them, then fitted the silver Mazda logo from a spare set of grubby silver caps (a previous ebay purchase). It will be interesting to see if/how they hold up.
Hiya! Wheels look nice good job with the centre caps too! I used Neil’s excellent write up for coding a 2nd key, it worked great once I got my head round the procedure, saving a lot of money along the way and the satisfaction of doing something successfully to the car!

As per comments on this forum and elsewhere, those 18" wheels are appreciably heavier than the 17", but to my eye they fill out the arches nicely without adjustment to the ride height - which I did not want to mess with.
Agreed re key coding - sweaty palm time in case you manage to turn the car into a paperweight, but actually pretty straightforward and very satisfying.
NA back on the road again after 9 months (much later than usual due to lockdown and 4 months in Isolation being shielded)
Happy days going forward
Looks good - definitely prefer the number plate with no surround. I had thought about doing mine and this has spurred me on!
Got rid of my surround when I went to a 6 digit plate. Looks much better.
Nice looking NA, what year?
WOW, Great pictures
Great looking car
Love the wheels
BBS split rims. Came with the car. I think they look good on the car.
