What have you done to your MX-5 today? (Part 1)

I checked these out and the ad claims these fit an NC.
However, if you buy these plus radio rings, they fit NC1, NC2 and NC3

I got both sets in chrome finish and they are pretty nice, fitting my Nc1 very easily

Got this lovely little present but didn’t want to attach it to the wall! So I did this. Nice little treat when I lift my boot!

Love where you’ve stowed an umbrella - never though of that - I’ve got one behind my seat but it’s not handy to get to.

Nice spot - but if you can keep it in the car you do not need to get wet by getting out of the car, opening the boot and putting the brolly up… a definite compromise! Could you put it behind the passenger seat headrest? If you had a bit of velcro it may work?

Not really - I’ve got both seats pushed all the way back so that the headrests are touching the roll bar covers. Just think it looks neater that way.

Fair enough - how about some sort of hanger of some sort under the front edge of the drivers seat? Should not be in the way and can be easily reached. I am sure some correspondents on here may have thought of this and could “knock something suitable up”?

A flat bottom! :+1: Really like what RSW do to these wheels! I love the alcantara (I presume) sections.

Yes, Barrie…lovely Alcantara top and bottom. I initially wasn’t going to go for the flat bottom but glad I did now.

Hi again, it all just adds to the overall look and feel of the wheel, a great job :+1:

Shampoo’d, waxed and vacc’d like a good hairdresser  Scrubbed the alloys and added these rather beautiful chrome rings round the side repeaters- am thrilled with how they look (it’s the simple things in life!)
Really, though, don’t understand why these don’t come as standard as they do set the lights off beautifully

Recreated my car in Gran Turismo 6. Seeing as I can’t drive it as much as I’d like to right now, I picked up a second hand PS3 and a copy of the game, and set about making a virtual version, right down to the red painted callipers. The makers of the Gran Turismo series strive to not only make the cars look authentic but also handle realistically, and having driven the Nurburgring in real life, I’d say they’ve pretty much nailed it. It’s just a pity you can’t drive with the roof down in the game, but perhaps GT7 will address that. Here’s a picture of me racing in front of the Matterhorn.

Bought these for mine last year. Look really good and fit well, until…

Once the colder weather set in the original plastic controls contracted more than the aluminium rings and now they just fall off, as they are 0.5mm too large. Packed away in the glove box until the warmer weather arrives.

Fitted a reversing camera. Not the best, but it is convenient and the bits came to hand.

I’ve got chrome rings on mine but they were a bit loose when I went to attach them- bit of Gorilla glue worked a treat!

Perhaps that was why one of mine was loose to begin with

After some delightful scum bag reversed into my ND after only having it 2 weeks I finally managed to get DT SMART REPAIRS over to get it back to new. I seriously can’t rate this guy high enough if you are in Herts/ Beds / Bucks areas…along with this I have a massive thank you to @tooslow for being a superb seller and generally all round top bloke for selling me his COBALT back box. And finally while all this was going on I also got Del to spray my calipers while he was sorting my nose cone. One VERY HAPPY MX5 owner.
