What have you done to your MX-5 today? (Part 1)

Rather nice
Link??

Nice day so washed it, along with the missus’ car.

Here’s a photo that mostly isn’t an MX5. Exciting stuff.

Fitted a set of sequential indicators from @Roadie. Fabulous service as usual, delivered within 48 hours vs having waited nearly 5 months for some Mazda ones from MX5Parts and still no delivery date in sight.

Hi
What you reckon to the swift sport ??
I’ve been looking at them :red_car::red_car::red_car:

Great car, can’t knock it at all. I had the previous model which I preferred but I’m probably in the minority with that.

I think a lot of people would agree that the previous generation Swift Sport was a more involving drive.

Washed it, dried it and did a super duper clean of my recently powder coated wheels.

Then it rained again !!! :imp:

I had a very nice drive to screwfix. Tried to nip to tesco to wash her but the pressure washer is closed for covid reasons, so she will stay dirty for a bit longer

Sorry, keep forgetting to include a link.

I’m a little confused.

Yours look like etched polished stainless but the ad says they are black with silver lettering.

Also, the ad says £9.50 each. Do they really sell them individually or do they come as a pair??

Thanks

I got a job lot done today, power steering re attached, new radiator fitted all plumbed in and the icing on the cake got the car off the axle stands and back in the drive after 7 weeks sitting outside the house doing repairs, could have sworn it was daylight when I started :joy::joy:

They come as a PAIR for the £9.50.
So if you needed 4 for say a Mazda 2 then you would buy 2 which gives you 4.
You have to tell the seller whether you want the black ones or the stainless ones with a message when buying. :+1:

They’re not quite black, and not quite silver, but somewhere in between

Excellent.
Thanks Guys

My mum test drove the current shape Suzuki Swift Sport as well as the previous shape. Her and my dad both preferred the older one, so she got a then-three-year-old model and they love it.

Not driven a Swift Sport, but the previous generation is well liked and was a bit ā€œOld Schoolā€!
And it’s Japanese, naturally aspirated and not a turbo! : Seem familiar?!

I tried the new detailing product of Artizans of Car Care and here’s a photo of the car after washing and detailing with their product today. Shame it wasn’t sunnier!

Artisans Of Car Care, are an ALL NEW British brand in the car care arena. Formulated by UK chemist’s, AOCC has been tailored for the consumer by its founders, after spending 10+ years in marine and motorsport harsh environments; creating a scientifically formulated product to combat the very worst of road grime and dirt.

The first of an artisan line up of high quality, British formulated car detailing products is our ā€œExterior De tailerā€. Launched in January 2020 at the AutoSport NEC event.

The results are good! You can see the reflections . . . . Yes, my tyres are not clean and I don’t like tyre black, so get over it! ! :grinning:

p.s. No connection with the company, just impressed with the wipe-on / wipe-off finish.

Fitted smoked side repeaters, numberplate LED’s and removed the sound tube. I’d quite like to meet the masochist that decided to leave absolutely no slack on the O/S numberplate wiring, which made getting the bulb holder back in a right pain!

I broke the top off one of the wheel arch trim clips doing the repeaters. Thankfully you can push the middle bit through the clip and still get it out (probably common knowledge, but made my day when I realised that would work). Does anyone know if the Mk1-3.75 ones on MX5Parts fit the ND?

I went for the IL motorsports smoked side repeaters on my ā€œsnowflakeā€ white car for the contrast, they’re not actually as dark as I was expecting. Some not very good before and after pics are below, I forgot to take a before of the O/S which would have been better. Next up is a good wash!
