Got round to getting rid of the scratches on the headlamps from this:
to this:
then a bit of machine polish on the boot to get some scratches out followed by a wash & normal polish

Looking very nice
If you spray them with 2k lacquer it will protect it further and stop it coming back.
2k has hardener in it, so its better for this application then normal lacquer that you get from a can.
Finally spent 3 hours in the rain removing my AC system today. Now I can start putting things back together and get her back on the road in a week or 2
Wow, what happened to it, and whatâs the red stuff?
Overspray?
Yep itâs overspray from where someone has sprayed the front of the car before by the looks of it.
A Fox had a disagreement with the front of the car. Attached the link to the incident if you want to see it, canât believe how much damage a split second accident can do.
Surely that should be titled âI hit a fox in my carâ.
Iâd say that depends on your perspective
In my eyes it had no business to be darting across the road infront of me. I didnât go looking to hit it.

Cleaned all the rubber seals on my PRHT roof, then gave them a going over with some Gummi Pflege. Iâve only had the car a couple of months, and I think it had been a while since the seals were last cleaned. Quite a bit of green gunk! How long until you reckon Iâll need to do the same again?
No idea when the previous owner had last done them, but I havenât done mine yet since buying the car 12 months ago, and they look as new.
I cannot find this wine gum pledge at HalfordsâŚ
I bought the stuff on eBay. I think I saw someone on here recommending it, so figured Iâd give it a go. Definitely better than they were anyway!
Another good coat of AutoGylm Super Resin on mine just now
Agreed. I hit a deer a few years back in a Megane CC and when I claimed on the insurance they asked whoâs fault it was. I said it wasnât anyoneâs fault, just an accident, but they insisted, and said, âOkay, weâll just say the deer was at faultâ.
. My AC was also destroyed, to the tune of ÂŁ1,500. Think they need to find a better place for such an expensive bit of kit.
I have similar if not identical covers, another âdetailâ that just looks great, not that anyone sees them unless the door is open (but we know theyâre there!)

Went for a top down Italian tune up around Coniston Water to âcharge my battery officerâ. Great fun with a capital F! Gave her a quick wash when we got back, even though she had stayed remarkably clean.

Is nice having a drive, obviously, but even better if itâs still clean when you get back home!
