I’ve kept “Red 4” covered since the blocked drains issue but have had to move it down the drive as I’m having some hedges cut this morning, so after dry but cold few nights risked leaving the cover off last night. What happens?….
I mean there is snow in England and then there is snow in Scotland…….we sassenachs don’t really know the meaning of snow……….[excepts perhaps in North Yorkshire] ![]()
Hi MikeA!
Excellent!! Have you got photographs of the moon? Would like to see very much!

Looking more like an igloo now! ![]()
It used to make me laugh when I lived down in Kent. Barely a dusting of snow and it was chaos! ![]()
That’s absolutely spot on! ![]()
Too many people don’t have a clue how to drive in adverse conditions like snow. I always advise people that are nervous, to “Drive as if you don’t have any brakes” It usually works.
Absolutely amazing detail!!
Thanks MikeA,
They are amazing! I see there is a Seestat S30 and a Re-establish S30 Pro! Research time!
These are the best that I get with my Sony a6400 with Sony E 70-350mm but obviously cropped to see the details!

Hi Ofiaich they look great. The tricky bit, I find, with the moon is it moves so quickly.
If you are looking at Smart telescopes, there is also the Dwarf3. I went for the Seestar due to it’s larger diameter optics. I wanted something I could easily take on holiday and quickly set up. The S30Pro seems to have a mosaic feature for capturing full sky, Milky Way images. There are plenty of reviews to disappear into.
Mike
Thanks MikeA!
Yes, lots of reading to do! My phone takes good photos like this but your photo of the Orion Nebula is awesome!

So True !
Didn’t know the meaning of snow until I lived in both West and North Yorkshire and that is no where near Scotland and the furthest south I lived was N.E. London/Essex !
But I suspect I’ve become more cautious as I’ve aged ……..now in the West Mids I won’t even risk a slight slope in Bullit after the Hills and Dales of Yorkshire !
She’s too precious and I’m likely to break something if I fall ![]()
Very scenic Ian.
Nice to look at through a window from the warm of inside.
Not nice to be working outside in it.
Indeed, I remember many years of being expected to fight through the conditions to reach my place of employment, don’t have to do that anymore and sympathise with those that do.
Likewise…. Worked in Armagh City and Keady, Co.Armagh for over 30 years, a 30-40 mile drive from home in Royal Hillsborough Co.Down, each way.
Armagh wasn’t too bad because of decent main roads, but there was snow in Keady every winter……and hilly narrow rural roads to contend with.
Don’t have to do this anymore, and in many ways I’m glad….. but not all ways. I miss the interaction with the people, or as we say over here, “ I miss the craic…..”
Thanks for photo😃
