What have you Photographed lately?

What’s that funky figurine, by the lamp and candle, that looks like something from an old Western movie?

That’s my little Jewish man that I bought in Krakow. I’m Jewish on my mother’s side.

Gotta say always loved the Jewish sense of humour since watching Jackie Mason

‘Parchiepig’ I think translates as ‘permit pork’

Back in the day when I was working Probation N.E. London my Jewish partner invited me [Gentile] to celebrate a religious festival in their home……what a privilage to witness another culture at first hand

We used to prepare meals at work for e.g. someones birthday and our area boss would take pity on us and our inability to provide ‘kosher’ meals by saying

‘So long as you don’t tell me what is in them…….I’m good to eat anything’

I was baptised Roman Catholic [I’m Irish on my mother’s side]

Thank goodness for comedians like Dave Allen who allowed me to appreciate that perhaps I won’t be going to hell for all the sins I’ve apparently commited  :innocent:

I’m also Irish on my father’s side.

Loved Dave Allen.

Parchiepig actually comes from my dogs nickname. Archie became Parchie and we added the pig because he used to snort like one! God bless him :broken_heart:.
