So im stuck between more mods or sell. exterior mods im happy enough with it. But i dont know if i should spend some money on engine or look at selling it and getting another jap car or import. What mods have you guys got? BBR/ ITBS / Turbos??
imho an mx5 was never about power but about the enjoyment it gives and the noises it does going through the box on B roads (at sensible speeds I have to say). If you haven’t taken your car on track yet, do it, its a challenge of its own being quick in an mx5 managing the power you have.
If you want a car with more power buy something else.
If I wanted more than the mx5 has to offer performance wise - I would probably look at a Honda S2000.
As it is - I think the MX5 has a nice blend of performance/handling/comfort for what I need.
Not saying i want more power i mean i want either a different avenue to push the car down for the sake of being different or more mods or say ive done enough and move on. If that makes sense?
It may be worth considering that any mod you do may not add to the value and infact might actually devalue the car.
You could also narrow your market for selling on since many prefer a more standard spec.
Any money you spend now may be lost and could be put towards a new project.

Some of the ITB kits, especially Japanese, seem to be poor quality, and a step back compared keeping factory.
Worth looking at Miataforum and asking the same question;
