What should I expect at Oulton Park 15th Aug?

I fancy a trip to Oulton Park on Saturday.  Never been to an MX5 event before, and just wondering how it all pans out during the day.

You
can wander around the paddock area and talk to the teams. Normally
they are friendly and will generally be happy to chat. The Ma5da
racing should be quite close. Not familiar with some of the other
races but should be a good day.

Do
remember it is a race meet not an MX-5 event, although having said
that it will attract MX-5 owners.

 Dear All

Thanks one and all for your comments/advice.  You’ve sold it to me.

I went to the Mallory races with my lad a few weeks ago. Would recommend it, close racing and good access to the teams. Had a chat with Tom Roaches Dad, I had no idea who he was at the time and asked what turned out to be some very stupid questions now I know he’s the championship leader [^o)] Still he was very pleasent. I’m sure you will have a great day.

I
did go and had a great time, as expected the racing was close.

and
as an added bonus there was even a 5 on the drift circuit.

Judging from the camera angle, I must have been just a few yards to your right, leaning on the fence-post.  I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon’s racing.  The MX5’s were undoubtedly the most exciting class to watch (but I might be just a tad biased there!)  However, I’m happy to leave it to the experts (at least for the time being???)
