Wheel Alignment - Hunter DSP 600 4 wheel aligner

Hello!

Im after a 4 wheel alignment (WIM type but their too far) as the inside of my tyres were bald and according to garage my alignment was ’ within Mazda specs’.

There is a place local to me called Wheel Alignment & Ball Joint Centre in Bootle and they use a Hunter DSP 600, is this the right equipment? anyone had any experience within them?

Cheers

I recently had my alignment checked at Nigel Langs in Bolton. Excellent service I would fully recommend them.

Cheers for that, a little bit far away but maybe worth the trip, I see they use a Hunter aligner same as the place in Bootle.

A place very local to me, can apparantly offer a full geometry set up for £10 per adjustment, they use a Supertrak system?? anyone head of it?

The Mazda tolerance is vast, it needs to be set to the centre point if you have stock suspension. The DSP is way better than the Supertracker so i would suggest the Ball joint centre or if your looking for a custom set-up Langs.

Thanks Wheels in Motion!

I’ve discovered the suspension is not stock (its has red springs so possibly Auto Exe as this would match the induction kit but thats just a guess). Im not particually looking for a custom set just so it doesnt shred my new tyres.

Im struggling for time off work so my only option is really the ball joint centre. They have asked what specs I want set up? I havent got a clue, just want normal road use (fast ish)!

If only you had a branch in the north west :frowning:

What distance do you have between the centre of the wheel up-to the centre of the wheel artch.

Roughly;

Front - 32cm

Back - 33cm

Many Thanks!

Went to Nigel Langs last week with my lowered Mk3 and Peter did a first class job, handling was fair to middlin to begin with but it now runs on rails and so so  much feedback its spot on Thumbs up…£78 inc of VAT and that was for 1.5 hrs work…and he knew his stuff alright, every bolt or adjuster removed, cleaned, greased and refitted  even before he started doing alignment…top bloke, top job for anyones money.

Your outside of Mazda spec, so you cannot have stock positions. I suggest…

Thanks Very Much!!

All these great reviews for Nigel Langs are making me think its worth the trip! He can do saturdays so will see what I can get off! He mentioned he thinks there is a fixed price voucher for MX5 OC members, where can I download this?

Cheers

Cheers Geoff!

I am a member but the email address ive registered with them is different that the one I use on the forum? Do I need to log in with the registered one?

Thank you!

Try the other email it should be ok then.

Re Nigel Lang, his website has no mention of a voucher, and I can find no mention of it in the club magazine. I would give him a ring  01204 392995

I was there a couple weeks ago like I said and there was no mention about OC voucher but at £78 for well over a hrs work for full 4 wheel alignment he is still cheaper than most and difference being he knows what he is doing.

Cheers will try and login under my other email address in future!

He said he thinks there is but he wasnt sure but either way price sounds very reasonable! Ive booked it in on 16th July, was tempted with the nurburg ring settings but will go for the fast road!

Thanks for everyones help!
