  1. My model of MX-5 is: NC Mk3.75 Sports Tech
    Has anyone fitted 225 R17 tyres to their NC Mk3.75.?

I have just bought a set of replacement 17 inch alloys that have 225 R17 tyres fitted and was thinking of fitting to my Mk3.75
My car at the moment has got the factory fitted wheels and tyres. That is 17 inch 5 stud alloys with 205 45R17 tyres.

My NC has 205 R17s fitted.

It will raise the gearing by 2.9% so your speedo will still be legal as they are deiigned to read 3-5% fast

It also depends what offset these wheels have mate. It very likely to have to roll the fenders tbh. Its quite wide tire

And if lowered they will rub the rear wheel arch liners, mine do 215’s sometimes.
