Finally got round to making some wheel cribs to make access under the car for maintenance so much easier. Got the idea from YouTube where they’re really popular is the USA and figured if they’re strong enough for some of the big American stuff with V8’s in etc they’ll be ok for an MX5 too! To be honest they’re so sturdy I’d happily put something much heavier on them if I needed too. I’ve now got almost 2 feet of clearance to get underneath now.

Got to ask, how did you get the car up on them?
They do look good and sturdy.

I’ve got a portable scissor lift but have watched plenty of You Tube videos of people just using jacks and wooden blocks etc.

I like that…it’d be a good way to keep the car over winter.
