Further to my previous post regarding alloy wheel colour/paint which was very helpful, my next question is , when I have repaired , etch primed and painted the wheels , do they require a coat of laquer or just leave the paint finish as it is ?

Lacquer.
At least 2 thin coats and use 2 “tacky paper” for all of them, before 1st coat, and 2nd to try to remove any micro dust.
Then when cured/dried, best get some proper alloy wax on them.
Ok, thanks, as its one of the many things that need doing to the 5 , some of which will have to wait until better times.
