Wheel offset

Hi, new here so please bear with the stupid questions,

I brought a Eunos Roadster recently & it is fitted with what turn out to be quite rare Fortech Monarch spoked wheels (very pretty) I am goint to swap these for a set of 15" alloys while I get them restored.

Does anyone have any idea what the wheel offset is on the Fortech’s? I can’t find any clue.

I’d have thought it would be stamped or have embossed lettering with the offset.

I think standard 14" Mk1 “daisy” wheels have ET38 on them and I’ve seen ET40 on the Black Racing wheels I have on my car.

Easiest thing to do is take one of the wheels off to have a look.

Mk1 offset for all factory wheels (14" Daisy, BBS, 15" BBS, Enkei) is 45mm. Mazda UK used odd offsets on special editions. Mk2 went to 40mm, except for the steel wheel, which stayed at 45mm.

The Fortech Monarch wire wheels weigh a ton. For looks only, therefore the offset becomes a bit irrelevant. FWIW, most Forte wires were 38mm offset.

Ah thanks, there to cruddy at the moment to read. Hence the refurb’ they do look amazing on the car but are a bit impractical. We will keep them as they came with the car & there not what you see every day. As my normal run about is a 20 year old Merc CE if the wheels were made of cast iron the little Mazda would still have light steering by my standards Wink I have a set of 15" alloys with an ET38 offset spare so I will try them for fit, not as pretty but they will keep the car off the ground while I sort out the spoked ones.
