Where is the OBD socket? (ND)

Hi there,
I’m new to Mazda Miata (have mine just for two weeks), so please bear it with me. May I know where in the cockpit the OBD-II socket is located?

Hi Piotr and welcome. I have a MK2.5 and the OBD2 port is located on the right hand side of the dashboard with the fuses, it’s about level with your right knee, there is a plastic cover remove it by hand and the OBD2 is at the top and resembles a scart socket. I don’t know if it is in the same location on other mk’s of MX5. Good luck and if I can help further let me know. Enjoy your car.

I have the 2.0 l ND2 RF with MT. (Topic title updated)

It’s probably just outboard of the bonnet release lever behind the dash.
