Where to get a vinyl roof repaired? (small tear)

Have just patched up a small tear (about 15mm) in my vinyl roof, using a combination of a bicycle tyre patch, and some “Stormsure” glue. It’s holding for now, but I’ve a feeling it’s only a temporary fix…

Just wondering where I’d take it to get a proper repair done? Maybe not even a car place, some sort of upholsterers?? Am based in Hertfordshire (Hitchin) in case anyone knows anywhere specific, otherwise just any general advice what sort of place would do this would be very useful.

Or has anyone successfully repaired something like this themselves, and if so, what materials did you use/where did you obtain them?

It might need a whole new roof at some point, but if I patch this one up for now I can put the money into more exciting upgrades - the roof somehow seems the least important bit of these cars, but you’ve got to keep the rain out…

To address part of your question…

I patched a couple of holes in my vinyl top with this…

Two pieces of textured vinyl, one of which matched that of my car.

Stormsure glue. Lasted about a year, until in the recent hot weather I noticed that the patch(s) were starting to come loose.

I re-glued with with some £1 Hard Plastic glue.
