I need a new a battery for my 2006 NC 2.0. I reserved one at Euro car parts last night as they had a 50% off flash sale on. I picked it up tonight and when I got home to fit it I found it to be totally the wrong shape and size. There website (and others) list that I need an 063 battery but this is obviously not right. The original battery (i believe factory fitted) appears to be approx 10 cm wide by 20cm long so has anyone any idea what number battery I need please?
ECP supplied the incorrect battery for my NC too. The correct one is an 053, and their parts finder system definitely had a glitch. In the end I sourced a Yuasa 5053 elsewhere (The Battery Shop) and for a better price. Luckily they have a store in Swindon near me. I’m told Tayna batteries are also worth checking out.
Yausa for me too when I had to change the original Panasonic last month.
Tanya batteries also had the CTEK MXS 5 conditioning charger at the best price so you can keep the battery charged over winter. It comes with an eyelet connector lead so you can fit it when you swap batteries over.
Thanks all for this.
My original Panasonic just died and I was going to get the YBX3053 3000.
But the Silver 5000 and higher rated one for a pound more is a good bargain!
Many thanks.
