Which trolley jack and jack stands do you use on your MX5?

Clarke 2.25t low profile trolley jack from Machine Mart with Halfords 3 tonne axle stands.

Also have a pair of Halfords ramps, however had to buy a pair of Sealey car ramp extensions to get the car up the ramps ok.

When changing the gearbox oil you need the car level with the front on the ramps and rear on axle stands.

Hi, Clarke low entry hydraulic jack, axle stands and a set of low entry hydraulic ramps. Plus a set of wheel wedges to prevent any movement when working on the car. Covers almost all eventualities.

Mine too is the same as Steve.  I made the pad out of a thick piece of oak, using a band saw.
