For anyone who fancies a bit of fun with their five, I have been contacted by ER member Eddie Breedon with an invite to join in with the Wickford Auto Club Summer Grass Auto Tests. The details as supplied by Eddie are as follows:
"The Wickford Auto Club are a MSA registered club mainly running rallies and autocross, plus they run summer grass auto tests.
Chris Hunt the organiser of these grass tests has invited the MX5OC to take part through the MSA rules which means no one has to join the Wickford Club. These grass tests are all forward only, and around cones against the clock (no reversing into garages), they are not high speed, just accuracy and car control. They are run as 8 tests, with 4 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. Being on grass they are not car damaging but just great fun, with no special equipment or licences required.
The date for these tests are the 14th July and 18th August, and cost £15.00 per day."
