Hi all, I’m sort of new to owning a mx5 NB, my 2003 Nevada is standard but seen some wheels that are 16x8j et25, would they fit straight on to my car with 205/45/16 tyres or would I need to do work? Thanks
Probably need to roll the arches.
My NB came with 16s as standard, running 205/50 quite happily, but they’re 6.5 inches wide. What is a little bit off with your suggestion is a 205 on an 8" wheel. Unless you’re going for the ‘stretched’ look, you probably want a 225.
Either way, this is a good site to get a visualisation of comparative size and width of different tyres on different wheels, with calculations on speedo error, etc shown as well. I’ve put in the sizes for my standard wheels and the ones you’ve suggested, to show you the comparison.
