Will MK1 / 2 hardtop fit in Discovery 3??

strange question this one I admit. basically I’m traveling to England (& Wales) from my home on the Isle of Man at the beginning of Feb. I’ll most likely be in my Discovery 3 as I need to collect some other parts whilst over. It occurs that it would be a really good opportunity to try and acquire a hardtop for my NA, but of course other than a rough guesstimate I can’t be sure that one will fit in the back?

Has anyone done so in anything smaller than a van? Or better still tried to do so in a Disco 3?

I think it will. I almost, as in only off by an inch or so, fit mine in the back of a Megane estate.

I fitted one in the back of my Lexus RX (back seats down) and im pretty sure there is more room in a Disco.

I have had mine (sparkle green, unfortunately, as it is for sale at the mo!) in the back of an S-Max which it went into with no issues…

If you have followed this link because you are asking the same question then I can tell you that YES it will fit. Cheers to Browno, his sparkle green top is now on its way with me back to the Isle of Man, and to a respray to classic red (apologies to all you Berkeley owners, but you did have your chance!)

Good stuff Manxfive, and good to meet you yesterday - I was pleased that it actually went in surprisingly easily after thinking that it would be tight, if it would go in at all!
