I’m looking to replace my wiper stalk with a variable one, I was hoping to find an OEM RX8 one but they are too expensive since they tend to come with the entire assembly.
So I found the one below and other similar ones on ebay, but based on other posts I’m not sure if they will work since they appear to have an extra row of pins, has anyone bought one of these for their NC?
That appears to be the case for NCs, but I"m wondering if it might still work since it’s advertised as compatible with an RX8. Like maybe the pins are there for another function that the NC doesn’t have/need.
I see what you mean. I wouldn’t like to guess on that one but this is a photo of the plug on mine which certainly looks like it would fit the one you are looking at.
Yeah these work OK - the finish and lettering is NOT as good as OEM though; and they click when on intermittent mode (relay inside maybe?) plus they only go from ~4s to 12s intervals. A used OEM RX-8 one would be best and I’ll likely get one to replace my eBay special.
Don’t get any other one but an RX-8 one - all others have a rear wiper control that ours and the '8 don’t have.
Honestly wish I did. It does work totally fine and I’d recommend to people less fussy - though these people likely don’t care about their intermittent wiper settings lol!
