Wind Deflector - what are my options?

Have decided to get one of these, partly for comfort on long high speed runs, and partly for the sake of my good lady’s hair

I have a Mk.1 Import with the strut brace in between the seatbelt towers.

It would seem I have a few options:

  1. MX5parts ones - seem very expensive for a pair of tights strung over a wire coathanger

  2. The ones that hook over the seat backs with elastic with a plastic window in the middle - look horrible IMHO!

  3. The ones that require a style bar - I’m not a fan of style bars and don’t have any so this is out really

  4. The standard Mk.2 windblocker - this is the favourite option at the moment as they are cheap on ebay, but I’m not sure how well it will fit a Mk.1, or whether it will fold down OK with the cabin brace, and I have heard a lot of reports saying they don’t work very well!

Any advice?

I have purchased two classic style windblockers for both my Mk1 and subsequent Mk2.  In my opinion they are excellent, stops the missus eating her hair, and cuts out drafts round the back of the head thereby extending the times you can drive the car EG: early morning and late evening ! Purchased one from MX5 Parts, the other off of Ebay.  So yes worth the investment, but I cannot advise you on what would fit your Eunos, though no doubt a parts dealer could.

i have a genuine one for sale on ebay with speakers

i just replaced it with a mesh type one and its great

Well, I ended up buying a Mk.2 windoblocker on ebay, but it won’t fit with my cabin brace.  Don’t want to lose the cabin brace.

At the moment I’ve got it wedged in front of the brace and behind the seats, I guess I could fix it in with self tappers, but has anybody managed to fit a Mk.2 windblocker on to a Mk.1 with a cabin brace with a degree of success?
