I’m not sure what you’ve unplugged…probably the dim-dip relay (pops up on sidelights)…a lot of people remove this to go to simple sidelights with no popup.
The 3 second delay is created by a small circuit attached to the retractor relay under the dash (green one) - it should be possible to remove it with some careful soldering, but I’d highly recommend you don’t try getting it apart. Swapping it for the non-uk black relay will work, I think.
My mod will also ‘fix’ this. Well, turn it into a 1 second delay probably. Or if I can pull it off, it might be able to do a fully-automated (and correctly timed) flash.

I’ve looked at this a while and to avoid the cost of sourcing the connectors it’s going to need to involve cutting a couple of wires… All the same, it works well so far - here’s a quick vid of some testing.

Well…we’re still early days. Lots of work still to do to get everything intergrated with the light stalk and so on. Then lots of testing to make sure it works on all variants. I also need to put in some safeguards to make sure your lights don’t drop when you need them most!
If you’re on the mailing list or twittering or facebooking us, then you will be the first to hear of progress…but it won’t be available for several weeks at least.
