Working with Mellens diagrams without FLASH

So Flash is dead…

How do I look at the Mellens diagrams ?

Have I missed a post on the topic, nothing in search…

Hmm, you don’t say which model.

A few years ago I bough a CD from Ebay with all the MX5 manuals, but only the Mellens versions on it, and US-centric.

Now you can buy a download of a PDF of the proper workshop manual. Here is a link to the US version for the NC

Google around and you might find a UK version for your model.

Model is not really important its actually NC 2007 Sport its the fact that I have all the html files for all the important systems on my hard drive but Google states FLASH NOT WORKING.

Yes well I understand that it was stopped in Jan 2021.

I have a P1260 - THEFT Detected, Vehicle Immobilized, and no keys identified in the PATS and I want to check the fuses and the Mellens diagram will not load in Google, Explorer, or Adobi.

The Imobiliser is not talking to the IC and I started with the basics before I remove the dashboard to change the module.

Ignore the P1260 for a mo I will get back to that… how do I view the diagrams?

Less than ideal but there are broswers/apps/plugins that have been released to keep flash content still accessible (mostly for some beloved games).

I’ve needed to use one in the past, cant remember which one exactly but it was something like this: Flash Browser – Web Browser build for Flash Player

Hope it helps

Not sure if it helps but I downloaded all the files as.pdf from the website without any problem. When I need to reference any of the info I either print a copy of the relevant sheets and then dispose of together with the oily marks or load onto a tablet and take that to the car.

Hmm, if the files are on your HD you need not be using Google then.

In Firefox there is a “Flash Player 2021” as an extension you can find in the Addons manager.
It’s an emulator that allows page by page access, it’s not perfect and links often seem to fall over, but it should allow you to view files within your HD.
I’ve not used it for a few weeks and disable it normally, just in case.
