One of the many reasons why I greet a new member in this fashion is so that a member may be able to answer a question without the inevitable …“Which car have you got?”
Likewise. Although for the Mk1, many of the descriptions are also useful for my Mk2. There are also on-line wiring and workshop manuals available for download if you search, take a look here http://neomiata.com/garage/index.php.
Also, try looking on Miata.net. A lot of useful freindly help and information there too.
Yep, I couldnt remember that link, its a great resource. While I was still at work, I downloaded and printed out the full workshop manula for mine, must have been about a thousand pages.
Note, the various (and usually illegally) scanned copies of the MX5 workshop manuals are generally based on North American market cars, for which there are significant differences from the UK/Japan market cars. Never pay money for something someone has basically ripped off (stolen). So, you might find them inaccurate for some jobs.
For 98% of jobs, the Veloce manuals are fine (http://www.veloce.co.uk). The authors have actually written and edited these manuals, using UK spec MX5s and Eunos Roadsters. The 2% of jobs not covered are covered by the MX5OC forum (see the technical guides, and under-used search facility, pretty much everything that appears on other websites has already been covered here, in detail, by various contributors since 2005) and Miataforum, which although a US-specific forum, as a forum and email list, has been in existance since 1994, and has a very large international user base.
Otherwise, you can buy a manual from Mazda, along with the supplements specific to your car.
They are not that much different from LHD and RHD MK 1 and Mk 2, so if anyone is stuck, just shout, that is what we are here for ,is that not right AT?, are am i still on the wrong train to helps ville.
Like i said if owners/members have any problems p.m me and i’ll help without the dramatics, or am i not being policiticaly correct.
Don’t worry M-m a lot of people don’t understand the difference between unlawful and illegal. There is no crime involved here, just a civil affront for which you may be asked to stop doing it by a civil court, and even have damages against you…but the police are not in the slightest bit interested as it is NOT illegal to copy without permission.
But i am not worried, that info is open to find if looked for hard enough, i am just doing what i do, helping owners, and if it means helping them find links and info needed easier to help them save money, i will do it, everytime.
That is why i am still around, i am a owner to, and do not waste money, as we are all working to our personal budgets, in what ever way that maybe.
Well to be fair, you’re covered anyway under the fair use argument…it is being reproduced for educational purposes, and seeing as Mazda doesn’t sell the manual to the public, no damage is done, so it would be hard to argue for any kind of settlement in a case like this, just a ‘cease and desist’ order at most.
