Worth putting a smaller plate on a ND

I have a number plate on retention 3 x 2, so it’s smaller than the current 2 x2 x3. However I can’t see the advantage of fitting a smaller legal plate, as the various plates of where the plates go is fixed. So am I missing something or are there no cosmetic advantages to fitting a smaller plate.

I thought about getting six digit plates when I put a new grill on but it would have looked odd on the back and it was easier to get standard size plate holders. There’s no escaping the fact that they’re smiley cars and a narrower plate would look like goofy teeth.

No. It is not worth it.

Six digit plates are great for aesthetics and give a sense of balance having three digits either side. You can still use a standard size plate on the rear, and a slightly smaller one for the front. Replace the standard grille with a spyder replica for maximum stylishness.

Thanks but it’s a 5 digit plate so may just leave it
