does anyone know this pub/hotel?
my wife is threatening to take me there for my birthday weekend in March.
I know the beer is the best because it’s Bathams which is brewed 100 yards from my house & is my favourite. 
also seems like a good excuse to have a run up there in the 5. haven’t been back in 40 years since i used to climb
all over Snowdonia as a yoof…

Judging by its reviews you’ll struggle to fault it.
Taking the '5? Carry on up to Capel Curig, turn left and take the back road to Llanberis via Pen-y-pass. Have a cheesy-chip butty in Pete’s Eats then carry on up to Bangor, through Bethesda and back down to Betws. If you find yourself passing Y Felinheli pop in for a panad 
BTW, so as not to offend the locals its Bet-ous ur coy-d not ‘betsy co-ed’

actually I went to school near Llangollen so i know the pronunciation if not the language.
i might even see if there’s any racing on Anglesey that weekend (if i can get away with it)
