Yaw rate & lateral acceleration sensor

    Hi guys - have stripped out the interior to check over the car and dry out the carpet ( scuttle grommet leak now fixed )

There is a yaw rate & lateral acceleration sensor on the tunnel near the back of the seats.

On it is FOV and an arrow - but mine is pointing to the rear of the car.
I believe it is installed correctly because the wiring is not long enough to turn it around.

Can anyone else confirm that their sensor is mounted with the FOV arrow pointing to the back of the car ??

According to the Mellens MX5 DSC.pdf , Figs 15 and 16 both show the connector must be on the front-looking face of the Combined Sensor, and in Fig 13 the arrow on the bracket under it also points that way.

Could it be the bracket or sensor have been rotated 180 in your car?

Hi Richard - thanks for info.

My sensor is mounted as your info ( with the connector pointing to the front of the car )
But what confused me is that the FOV arrow ( I assume it means Front Of Vehicle ) is pointing to the back of the car.
