Woods, Wolds and Whitby 2 – Sunday 1st February 2015
James and Wayne re-run Brian and Jane’s popular Woods, Wolds and Whitby run from 2013, with a change of lunch venue to account for the possible winter weather. An earlier start time is planned to make the most of the winter daylight.
Details for this event are as follows:
1. Meeting: 09:30 for a 10:00 set off. This has been brought forward to account for shorter days during winter.

3. Format of the day: Meet and greet at the Aire & Calder (they serve Costa Coffee) followed by the first leg of the run through the East Riding of Yorkshire on what will hopefully be snow and ice free roads. Our coffee break sees us stopping at “The Wolds Craft Centre” in the Wolds village before heading north to Whitby, where we will be having lunch at “19 at Whitby Golf Course”. Then those who wish to join us for the final leg of the run will head to Clifton Moor Retail Park in York for coffees and goodbyes at McDonalds.
4. Lunch: We have been requested to pre-order our meals in order for Bob at Whitby Golf Course can prepare for our arrival. There is a choice of either Beef or Pork Sunday lunch with all the trimmings, or creamed mushroom linguine finished with parmesan, and either Apple Pie or Fruit Cheesecake for dessert. Sunday lunch is £7.50 or two courses is £9.50.
