I live in London and the local council allows zipcar to run their flex scheme in the borough, this means they can park anywhere and that’s fine.
The problem is we have 4 to 7 zipcars parked on a street that has very limited parking for the residents.
The drivers are also quite bad, you can tell they do not drive often (one person had 10 attempts to park and stalled each time getting up the curb) and they often are parking the cars in bad spots causing a slight obstruction. (we need to park half on the curb due to the narrow street, they are parking 4 wheels in the road)
The council say its for the residents but at £7-£14 a hour I doubt many people hear could afford to use that kind of service. I have never seen any residents use the cars.
This is pretty much me just moaning/ranting about this company but does anyone else have any views on zipcar or similar car sharing?
