I agree the ZSport is a direct successor to the Montana. I’ve always fancied one. The only thing I would miss is my hard top which has just come off this weekend. I put it on usually for 4 months Nov-Feb and find the car turns into a coupe for the bad weather and I rarely miss not being able to drop the roof.
I got my Montana Dinitrol protected 4 years ago and it has done the world of good to the underside compared to my last MX5. At nearly 8 years old the Montana is not in top perfect condition due to a few minor scratches in the paint, but it would be a lot cheaper than a ZSport if you could find one like mine. It would probably cost you about £5,000
Roof is now off, car is waxed and I’m lapping up that sun:
Correction to the above … they are not actually selling at these prices - only the very top ones are - one in Romford Mazda with 3,000 miles on it went quite quickly. It had a screen price of £11,990 (not sure how close to that they managed to achieve).
Hiya, thanks for that - slight misunderstanding there … I thought you meant a ZSport! So had a rummage and couldn’t see one - I now see what you meant was a Montana.
No price though? I find it annoying (and I don’t think I am alone) when people don’t put the price … they know what they want. I’m sure that, for some weird reason, they think they are being clever? Puzzles me.
I have to say, a Z-Sport I spotted the other day at a Citroen dealership in Salisbury caught my eye, at £9500. The BBS alloys looked striking, as did the rare Mk3 hardtop that was included.
That’s in the Penton Motor Group - and it’s not at Salisbury, it is in Bournemouth.
33,000 miles and 2 owners, last owner owned for 8 months!
When I last test drove it, it had a dent in the boot - scuffed alloys and a rather nasty hole in the carpet next to the clutch pedal!!
Mazda Main Dealers have some with half the miles, one owner and Zoom Zoom warranty for £10,000 … these are, by far, better buys. I would give the Citreon ZSport a WIDE berth!
Interesting to see the prices falling away - not many people in the market for a second car these days I guess?
But, still, the Mazda Main Dealers are asking £10,000 for the best ones - it would have to be seriously below £9495 to make me buy from an Independant.
