Having spent the weekend stripping the engine on my 1.8 NC down (pistons rings knackered!) I’m now looking to source new piston rings, big end bearings and gasket set.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get these parts?
My first choice was MX5 Parts, however gasket sets are out of stock and I can’t find rings or bearings on their Web site.

I am used to reboring and fully rebuilding engines and gearboxes with appropriate upgrades for my Kit Cars but they have mainly been Ford based and there are several Ford engine companies around eg. Burton Power. I would also want to rebuild my MX5 Engine and box if I ever needed too.
I am aware of these guys for MX5 engine rebuilds and they would be my first call but I have no experience of them at all being new to MX5 myself.
You could also try giving Burton a call they may have contacts due to the Ford/MX5 connection.

I didn’t think about Burton Power, they’ve been around for years. I remember getting some bits from them for an old Escort Mk1 back in the late 80s!
I have done some digging and found a company called Engine Parts UK Ltd. They can supply a Glaser Head gasket kit for around £140 and King SI big end she’ll set for £35 which both seem reasonable!
Still waiting for a price on piston rings.
Might be worth asking @DuratecNC if he can supply the parts.
