MK 3 NC Center air vents 2 Questions

Hello again, Hoping ye can help once again. 1 Are the two center eyeball airvents in teh MK3 supposed to be able to close just like the ones beside the windows ? i.e. press in the button in the middle and the flap closes ?? ( mine dont ) 2 Are they easy to pop out.
