There is a true black 1.5 that has been on a small dealers forecourt for over 18 months now! I’ve grown to like the colour as much as I like the white. I don’t like anything in between now; they seem to muddle the lines of the ND.
Being west Cornwall it’s overpriced. I did mention this when I was offered a test drive and the fact it had been on the forecourt so long but the vender said he is cool about that.
Nonsense. They make there money from turnover.
It was bought from the London area and is average condition and has been standing for all this time half a mile from the sea. Much as it quickens my heartbeat whenever I pass by I would be foolish to buy it.
Not that it matters any more
lol good on you.
I was looking at a car a few years ago (not an ND) and when he woudn’t knock anything off, I suggested he looked up if the Guinness book of records do a section for the longest ever time a car spent on the forecourt You can guess how that went. I can’t say I was too disappointed either to check up on it seeing the months tick on and on and on, that the car finally sold about 8 months (easy) later, for a solid few grand less than I offered
Regarding colour, I like the white and black too. I do like my Ceramic though. I can’t figure out why they drop ‘obviously’ decent colours. Snowflake White was another nice one they dropped, too. The original soul red I much preferred, too, compared to the SRC one.
Deep Crystal Blue is the best colour, but then i am definitely biased.
Ageeed! Can’t wait to get it back and see it as it should be!
Hey Robert, you have the right colour to really show off your wheels if have them refinished in silver.
Here’s my Evora which has “Nightfall Blue” paint and, being a Sports Racer model, it came as standard with gloss black forged alloys. I had them professionally refinished in silver and the results are truly spectacular…
Just an idea though .
Looks nice. I’d go with gold or bronze like I had on my GT86 though. In fact I was already thinking about it.
Although having them in ‘brake dust grey’ does have advantages!!
But black ones are the fastest!
What, refurbishing/colour changing those BBS alloys!
Well yes. They are just wheels, BBS or not!
I also think Mazda should really have given buyers the choice rather than being stuck with their one-size-fits-all, like-it-or-lump-it defaults.
They hardly give any choice for body colours, other than 50 shades of meh, so wheel colour options probably is 8,435 on their list
Yeah one of the reasons I went for the Homura is that the BBS wheels are the best of a bad bunch on the ND3. ND2 wheels were the best
The prime line base black ones on the 1.5 are okay, but those 2L Exclusive lines ones look like something off a NISSAN SUV. The BBS’s are lovely. Expensive though, an easy £800 or so a wheel.
Has everyone heard from their dealers yet and have a date or already collected? I have still not heard anything although did have an email on Thursday saying car was on it’s way to the dealers, and an email from Mazda Customer Relations Manager on Friday saying I should have heard from my dealer with a collection date.
Have you phoned the dealer for an update? That’s usually the quickest way of finding out.
Yeah last week and was told sometime in June - I don’t want to be one of those people who’s on the phone everyday - Just curious as to what others experience is.
You are one of those people who is going to be spending thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of pounds though, so maybe you’re entitled to.
Thanks - don’t need an update on how much I am spending, I am well aware of that fact thanks!
I will reiterate I am just interested to see if others are still waiting - merely out of curiosity more than anything, I have no issues with my dealer they have been great.
Had the email from Mazda on Thursday 29th May and got the call from the dealer the following Friday on June 6th, so just over a week between the two.
Had a call on 29th saying the car was there and I think it was ready on 3rd but I collected on 6th. Sales guy was always contacting me that week.
