All new MX-5s being held at Bristol Port

Just back to non-black BBS wheel discussion momentarily, I came across this one earlier. And as such, I fully support this motion!

Oooh yes, they look superb.

On a bit of a tangent, but still on the side-theme of wheel colour, Lotus did give buyers the choice of wheel colour back when the Elise was still being made of course. In fact from 2017 the standard cast wheels were painted silver as standard, but black was a no cost option.

The lightweight forged wheels (a hefty £1,200 extra!) were available in either silver or black; same price.

Here are the forged alloys on my current 2017.5 Elise…

And yes, they’re silver - yay!

A great example of life would be boring it we all liked the same things :face_vomiting:

Almost daily there seems to be new NDs popping up on Autotrader (at the same silly new prices they are these days). Bit of a coincidence as it’s been quiet on that front of late. A guess is that a number of PCPers got fed up waiting, cancelled ‘their’ car, and just PCPed another totally different car.

I’m not a fan of red cars generally and prefer the older - in my opinion prettier - models of MX5s, but i have to say this car in this colour looks REALLY hot :fire:

Cars are being delivered in OZ. Here is mine…

I ordered a white 2.0 last month. Was set on black for a while but the white just kept growing on me. Is there any other car that more stunning in white? Obviously cost less too and perhaps cheaper to touch up / repair as and when needed! Expecting to get it just in time for autumn so trying to be patient - just like everyone on here.

Nice. Can’t wait to see some pics :+1:

Our first ND was white and it is definitely the best colour for the car, everything just blends and works. Good choice.

Aaaand here it is all shiny!!

Already changed the antenna and interior lightbulb. Can’t for the life of me get the number plate bulbs out of the holder to swap them.

I ordered a 2.0 Exclusive soft top in April, with estimated delivery mid August. Just been told by the dealer that the car is with them and will be ready in a week

This is great news but my only concern is whether this could be one of the ones held at Bristol and now available because the original buyer lost patience and cancelled their order.

I don’t want a car that’s been sat outside uncovered for a few months so wondering what people’s thoughts are on how to check and what my rights are.

Maybe I’m being over cautious but obviously I want to ensure I’m receiving a brand new manufactured one as per my order. I’ve also purchased the scuff plates and interior LED but I suppose they could easily be fitted in the UK.

You could ask the dealer for the VIN and manufactured date. The latter is printed on the vehicle’s Certificate of Conformity (along with a ton of other info including the VIN itself).

My dealer says that my car should be with them in early July, and the replacement part (the stability control module) will be supplied by Mazda along with the car for the dealer to fit ahead of the handover. Getting closer .

Getting mine on Thursday, delayed since March! Well happy.
