Hi!
My model of MX-5 is: NC 2006
I have the Bose sound system, with the iPod lead into the glove box.
I am wanting to add Bluetooth to my car without using a transmitter or a touchscreen. I read that you cannot use this… Mazda MX-5 2006-2009 Bluetooth Music Streaming Handsfree Car AUX In CTAMZBT001 | eBay
If you have a 6 CD changer. Is this correct? Are there any other better solutions or is this the best one?
Thank you in advance!
( This is my first post so I’m sorry I’ve not done this correctly)
I don’t know if this will work or not sorry , but If you want this for just music and keep it all in the glove box you could do what I did in the post below , I have since replaced with a fancy head unit , so have these parts spare . Others will suggest things that plug into power socket I would expect .
Hi Keith,
Like you I had the iPod dock with 30 pins, in the glove box, also like you I wanted Bluetooth for Music from iTunes, amazon music, and Spotify. I also did not want to have anything visible and if possible to keep the steering wheel buttons for track advance etc. so I went with a Bovee 1000. however, as has been pointed out the “OlD” 30 pin dock does not have sufficient power to charge iPod,phone and the Bovee so I also added a cable jack to sort the power issue. along with the Bovee 1…
I believe they mean an extra 6 disc player that would be plugged in to the aux socket in the back of the head unit.
The white connector on that unit you linked too plugs in where an external cd changer would be connected.
Thank you I think I’ll give the other unit a go because it’s cheaper and all tucked away then
Ok thank you for the clarification on that I’ll give it a go!
