I have just become the proud owner of a mk1 Eunos with 2 sets of wheels.
Does anyone know what the original wheels would look like.
Car is 1995 mk1 Eunos
If I knew how I could add a picky of both sets of wheels…hmmm

Best thing to do is stick a couple of photos up so people can see what they look like. My Eunos came with 15" wheels which are Mazda but I’m not sure they’re the original.
Thanks for replies.
Yes I do have one set that looks like that and yes they are 14".
Can someone tell me how to add a photo to forum - can’t find out how to do that.
The best way is to upload to a 3rd party photo sharing site, and then link from there. Photobucket is commonly used, but its slow, and full of popups.
Imgur works well.
You can use the tags already created on imgur and just copy paste, or take a link to an image,
eg http://i.imgur.com/NfCwdXcl.jpg
Use the image tool icon when creating a post, pasting in the link in the appropriate place, or just wrap “limg]” and [/img]" around the link.
ie.
I have a 1995 Eunos which has 14 inch Enkei hollow spoke wheels like those on the White MX5 in the photo above.
I really like them and the car handles really well shod in Uniroyal Rain Expert 3 tyres

At lots of faffing, I finally managed to upload the images (slowest internet connection in the universe)
So, here are the 2 types of wheels I have.
Which should be on my Eunos? If I did up the Daisy ones, how do you fix the centre bits as I’m presuming they are plastic. Sorry for being such a girl…but I am!
Both are appropriate…
The Eunos did not come with one specific wheel type, it depended on year/edition/buyer I believe.
The first type was only fitted to 89-93 1.6 models (aka “daisy”). It was never a case that both wheels were available simulataneously. Heavy duty welding by the way on that sill.
I believe the second set are Enkei wheels and that there is a thread on the forum advising on how to tell whether they are genuine hollow spoke wheels which I think are lighter.

I resprayed my original daisy wheels by first cleaning them with wonder wheels cleaner and scotch bright then wet and dry, primer silver base coat followed by clear coat,
The plastic centre capes were also cleaned then wet and dry sanded after drilling a 5mm hole in the back of the plastic cap centre of the Eunos badge without going into the badge, then by gently warming the back and pushing the badge out with a small screwdriver as the badge is held in with double sided tape.
Enkei made all the wheels for Mazda. The factory wheels described as “Enkei wheels” were the 15" 5 spoke designs fitted to late UK 18iS, some M-Editions and the VR-Limited.
Here’s the factory fit 15" 5-spoke Enkeis as fitted to the VR-Limited, and late UK 1.8is, to which Mr. Saz refers.
Interesting
Didnt know that
Thanks
Matt
And also, there is no such thing as fake hollow spoke wheels.
On the left, solid spoke, on the right, hollow spoke
And the semi-hollow spoke
A question of semantics I suppose
I used the word advisedly on the basis that hollow spokes are lighter and than the other 2 and that sometimes semi-hollows have been advertised as hollows for financial gain. To the uninitiated (e.g. me!) the 2 look very similar on the outside and you need to know what to look for to differentiate from the inside.

Here’s a useful link showing the years of wheels.

Saz is right, the daisy wheels were up to 93 (Sorry, missed that yours was a 95).
Thanks for all your replies. I actually prefer the wheels that are off my car but have sussed out that one is slightly different to the others, although I’m not sure if anyone would really notice if they were on the car.
Has anyone other than Warbird cleaned up Daisy wheels? I’m a bit worried its beyond me - the centre bit (not the badge) in particular.
Ed China does a grand job on some MR2 wheels here on Wheeler Dealers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpN-53YIv2E
Doing that for Daisy’s is pretty hard cos of the shape - I’d be inclined to take them to a wheel refurb place. Once you’ve not bought the stuff to do it yourself the cost difference won’t be horrendous - £260 is what I’ve just looked up.
I’ve got Daisy wheels on mine. In the company of the knowing I feel a fraud as mine is a 97 car but I like them (and the PAS)
