Well done to all involved with today’s rally, it takes a huge amount of organisation to pull off an event like this and we should all be grateful to be able to have this type of gathering of the mx5 community.
You can’t please everyone and given the huge number of cars and people involved there obviously will be technical difficulties but high praise where praise is due.
Loads to do and see on our return visit to this great venue , more things to see than time would allow, can we have more rally’s at this type of venue please. How about a return rally visit at some point to Brooklands museum ?
A grand day out. Good weather, well organised, and I took my shopping list to MX5parts - mats, boot liner, half cover for our ‘new’ Arctic. Good venue too, amazingly for a car nut I had never been there.
I also picked up a brochure from Scenic Car Tours, that could prove expensive.
A GRAND DAY OUT! better than Donington last year many thanks to all stewards, judges [?] etc Did any one find a single hearing aid? please get in touch on here if you did

Does anyone know the total tally of MX5s at the rally? I had a great day on the Special Editions stand with one of my Gleneagles. Great Western branch was well represented - i think it was four of the Mk 1s and i don’t know about the NB,NC and ND.
As far as I’m aware there was nothing handed in of that nature to the registration/membership tent. You could try the reception desk in the museum at Gaydon - they were able to help a little boy who lost his toy and it was handed in there.
Many thanks to all for this event. This is the third rally I have attended at Gaydon and was the best yet. A really great venue and now with the added benefits of the new museum section.
Both my son and I were thrilled to meet Fuzz on the Mazda stand and have the opportunity to race him on the drag race, parking and box challenge (OK Fuzz won both the drag and the box challenge - but I’m going to claim I was a little star struck). A thoroughly top bloke who even took the time to talk to us and record a message for my other son who was unable to make it (due to the MX5 only having one passenger seat).
My first national rally and I got to say it was awesome! The weather helped a lot and the museum was very interesting as well. Well done to the organisers
