Fiat 124 Spider: The ND's Italian cousin?

I concur the 1.5 is a belting engine and I have covered 9000 miles this year in mine!

I agree, definitely purple one…

Was that the district nurses who used to drive them

Staffordshire Police also used them late 1960s. I once drove an H reg ex police one my Dad bought. Seemed swifter than the normal spec, I agree they had a distinctive exhaust note!

The Morris Minor really did have a very characteristic farty exhaust sound, like nothing else. It never occurred to me that it could be the drivers…

We had a green, split screen, side valve one. I bet they’re collector’s items now!!!
PS: I’m talking Morris Minor, not Fiat

So did my dad, in the early 60’s. OYG 7. I’d love the number. In the 70’s I shared a grey one with my brother. RCP 456. Should have kept that number as well!

That’s what ours was, but without the elastic!
