Hello fellow owners and drivers!
I’ve lept in and purchased a nc 2012 prht and love it!
Only had 32k miles with 11 services on it! (Now on 38k. I’vehad it 1.5 years)
I had a bike accident and ive had to give them up but i purchased an mx5 to make up for it and it doesn’t disappoint whatsoever.
I put different wheels on, spoiler, led lights, atoto Android auto unit, door pulls instead of handles, mazda wind blocker, exhaust end, blue mazda footwell lights, smart flasher, lowered 30mm, smart top module, clock face, blue hoops and dash trim, pads, rear upper sway brace and recently, a bbr 200 tune.
Suspension and swaybars next!
Anyway, sun’s out soon!!
Welcome! Nice looking car and a great colour
Cheers,
Steve
Hope you have made a full recovery from the bike accident, cool wheels, wishing you many smiles per mile.
Thanks steve! Its brilliant fun every time I go out. Love it.
Thanks! Bad news yesterday actually as if i remove the plate in my arm, light work duties for 2 years.
No more bikes basically. Oh well.
Welcome along, nice car
Gorgeous looking car. I was an ex rider, last bike Triumph 900 Thunderbird. At 60 I bought an ND rag top and have never looked back tbh. Not quite the same but we defo love it! (Had it 2.5 years and covered 45k miles).
I do like the thunderbird but its too tall for me.
I even had to lower a speed rs 1050!
45k is definitely loving it!
Yeah, I’m 6’2" so the T’bird was ideal. Fortunately, the ND was a one owner with 12k miles on it when bought so at 57k, still ok for a 7 year old. Retiring in the spring so hopefully, mileage will reduce significantly. Enjoy!
Stunning looking car!
Thanks alan! As we all know, brilliant fun!
Nice car! love what you are doing to it!
If you are thinking about suspension. Don’t forget about under chassis bracing. They are relatively cheap but make a big difference to the car’s handling.
Thanks @MoonLight !
I have been looking around and ebay is/has certainly been my friend!
I do want to get the bracing but tbh, i just plod around the Northants countryside so i wouldn’t do it justice i think.
Next thing i suppose is underseal work.
I have got hel braided lines to put on as a little winter project though but no hurry.
How gorgeous is THAT!
Nice looking MX-5. Cola bottle on the boot freaks me out a bit lol, but the car looks stunning in those pics. Nice lighting too. As looks that twisty road.
Beautiful looking car. I bought a 2008 NC phrt after giving up the bikes and it was both a sad and a happy day. Haven’t ever looked back and the wife loved it so much she persuaded me to go look at an ND which we ended bringing home the same day. The NC a neighbour bought so I still see it every day. Here’s to many more glorious sunny days and twisty roads.
Thanks!!
When I’m out on a lovely sunny morning, this is where the bikes always go (Rockingham to stamford) as its a lovely and twisting bit of road!
Brilliant place to stop and watch them all enjoying the sun too!
I still look at bikes and wish i could have one again but ive had 2 big accidents now (not my fault) and i enjoy my nc just as much tbh.
I do enjoy the fact that i can do things with it that doesn’t involve a £150 per hour mechanic to do instead!
Mm. Had a bad motorbike accident a few years back and decided I couldn’t put my loved ones through the angst of me continuing to ride. A rather super few years of driving an NB helped heal my sadness at not riding any more. Still look rather longingly at bikes sometimes though.
An NC has taken the place of the NB and it’s fantastic fun going round Bedford Autodrome!
