Barbie Doll Babes!!! Yukkk!!!
Nah, neither of them look like me.
Must admit I look more like this
There was a lady who lived in Cheshire (may still do) that had each new car her husband bought her painted pink - this was before wrapping. This was some time ago, but I remember she had a Mk1 Elise painted baby pink as it came up for sale when she moved on to something else… Not sure if this is still the case, but I saw a baby pink Bentley GT the other day…

Slightly off topic but, years ago there was an elderly man in south London who used to walk his dog, a pink poodle, he also took it with him on his trips to his local boozer, but nobody who valued their life took the p%ss, why, because the old man was “Mad” Frank Fraser, a one time enforcer for the Richardson gang who had a very, very, very bad reputation.
I just wonder if the owner of the pink Aston is of the same ilk???
Back in the 70s, when I was a motor mechanic at Rob Walkers, we had a customer who had a pink 911 Porsche - but not only pink paintwork, he had pink leather interior too !
If that article wasn’t American I would have assumed it was a ■■■■ take!
This post was rubbish! Forget it!!
Funnily enough i had Eddie Richardson come in to our shop for some videos to be transferred the other year.
after i booked the job in my boss recognised the name and told me about the gang and the nasty stuff they did.
When he collected the tape another customer walked in and wanted a picture with him.
It’s a small world.
Here’s the job on our invoice system.
A friend had a dust pink E-type, when some lad asked “why would you have a pink Jaguar”? His reply was “so what colour is your V12 E-Type” and the lad just walked away with his head hung low. I guess he had a black Mini Metro?
I used to drive one of these in the 70’s - not mine I hasten to add, it belonged to a guy I worked for.
As I recall it was quite a popular colour.
The colour was called Heather and it seems to me that for the 1973’s XJ only.
It “Strangely” gets better the more you look at it.
It has a serene style and elegance. I think I could like it, but not on my MX5.
