How do i remover plastic sill covers on nc

Does anybody know how to remove the plastic sill covers on the NC. I want to check for rust

Pull up!

This is assuming you are referring to the scuff plates on the top surface. (Don’t try the lower covers - nightmare prices for replacing too many broken clips)

Lift up the ends first to detach the tabs, then work in towards the centre along the edges to detach the clips and pins.

This gives nice big holes with good access for injecting squirt into both sill cavities on each sill.  A borecam is also useful to check the ends.

I bought similar to one of these endoscopes.

Much easier than taking stuff off, and will also allow you see inside areas that no amount of removing covers etc will allow.

Not too much info on this / your subject, and always good to resurrect an old thread, did you manage to find a way to remove the side sills without any damage, am prepared to sacrifice a few clips in order to remove.
I would probably take off the scuff plates to have a nose, no access to a borascope , I knew I should have kept in touch with that Colonic Surgeon!!!
Cheers

I responded to a thread here below. Sadly some links/photos do not work anymore but it gives you an idea.

Thanks for the reply, I managed to remove by undoing one clip at either end of the sill, and gently persuading with a few taps from front towards the rear of the car on the bottom corner of the sill with a mallet protecting the sill with a towel. surprisingly easy to be honest, did break a few of the clips but I hope to plastic weld them back on. All good fun !
Thanks again.
P.S. Really appreciate the quick responses that I have received from the club members so far, great owners club :+1:
