Just Google in Km to Miles
As Pollyana says - Google Calculator is brilliant if you ever want to do a conversion.
Just type a normal Google search in the format “What is 150000 kilometers in miles?”
And it returns: “150 000 kilometers = 93 205.6788 miles”, plus all the usual Google links.
It’s equally happy to translate kilometers per hour into furlongs per millisecond, or millibars into newtons per square cubit.[:D]
cheers for that chaps. I wasn;t far off as I knew 100kmh was roughly 60mph
thanks
I just googled “100 km in miles” for you and found that
100 kilometers = 62.1371192 miles
If in doubt in the future divide kms by 8 and then multiply by 5 to get miles.
Good luck with the sale
Nev
or even easier…just divide the km by 1.6 or the other way round to convert miles to km.
cheers pal
Or, you could go out and buy a pocket converter.
There are a vast number of options available, and I think we have managed to explore every one in this post! [Y]
I’d take my hat off to Geoff and Pollyana for both getting their replies in within 120 seconds though!
“Thread of the week”… [H]
Another interseting way of looking at 150000Ks is that it is equal to driving round the equator for 3.74 times
This thread proves 2 things:
1 That asking a forum before googling wastes a massive amount of other peoples time.
2 That people on forums really like massively wasting their time.
I was trying to resist this thread, but I sadly succumbed… I wish I hadn’t… [::(]
Just curious, but why would you be worried about other people wasting their own time
Yet you still felt compelled to post, I wonder why?
again it’s the whole thing about forum snobbery…I know very little about the mechanics of a car and never wish to. But i also enjoy being part of something and if this means the only way i can comment/take part on here is through threads like this then thats great.
I was intrigued as to why a fairly simple “km to miles” thread had generated so many replies… - I initially read this when there was the op and 2 replies which completely answered the question, then the next time I looked (in the “Not Read” list) there were 12 replies!
These 12 replies were temptation too much to ignore… I couldn’t reasonably fathom what else could warrant another 10 replies! [:^)]
Not sure what you mean by your “compelled to post” comment really Geoff… [8-|]
I’m pleased that you did post Goof, because it prompts a bit of discussion. The reason I asked why compelled, was because when I find a thread which has no interest for me, I move on to something else
