Am looking for a steel luggage rack the ones you can screw in to the bonnet if anyone has please for sale that would be great !!

Well… I saw one the other day on a TR6 red it was so small silver so neat beautiful really looked so cosmetic Wowwwww but was screwd in to the bonnet . The ones you just put on the racks are so bigggg the back of the car looks is like ready to fly !!!

How on earth would you see around a suitcase if it was attached to the bonnet?

You can see yes the one I saw on the classic car the rack was half a size of the new ones have come out , it was really nice but I think it will be difficult to find this one I spoke to the guy he got it 6 years ago from Southampton was a classic car show . Oh well … I just have to keep looking I suppose …
Intriguing. The only bonnet racks I’m aware of, are for off-road vehicles. Like an original Defender, where you benefit from a height difference between the bottom of the windscreen and the start of the bonnet.
Hence why this once is the height it is, so your onward view isn’t unduly affected:

I had a look not really … I am more likely to get one from a classic cars website the racks are smaller much smaller steel that the ones I have seen on Mx5 parts ,but thank you for posting to have a look
This is the OEM rack fitted to the boot lid of my Mk1. You can pick up used boot lids on eBay with them attached, but not sure how easy it would be to transfer to another boot lid.
Never used mine to carry anything as it sits so low to boot lid and securing anything to it would be difficult. Looks the part, but not that practical.

Is immaculate , your car is beautiful !! Also yes I agree with you I probably wouldn’t put anything at the back but I like it to add it as cosmetic I just think it will look beautiful . My car is 58 plate black.

oh no sorry I have just read your message again , I don’t think I want to buy another boot with the rack on … I think I like to get it and fit it to my boot I didn’t know to be honest they selling them with the rack attached
