In memory of Moody’s drummer Graeme Edge who passed away a couple of days ago…
I gave this a spin and it’s brilliant

Had this since it was first released… Listened to it for the first time again tonight in years… Billy Joel’s Stormfront. Still pretty meh to me, but it doe have We Didn’t Start The Fire and this on it…!
Rob
Another one from the past that hasn’t been spun in ages… Only got half way through as I don’t want it ringing in my ears when I try to get to sleep in a bit…!

Clarinet Concerto. Adagio is particularly beautiful…

Wednesday the 24th of November will mark the 30th Anniversary of Freddie Mercury’s death.
So tonight I have began listening, in chronological order to all the studio albums I have, which is all over them except Hot Space and Flash Gordon… Firstly owned the first four releases on vinyl, had one or two cassettes then first issue CD’s - Even the 2011 Remasters I have now are ten years old…! Tonight I began with the first three releases
The rest of the releases will be listened to over the next few days…
Rob
Just followed up with these two tonight. A Night At The Opera was the first album I ever owned - Mum and Dad got it me for a Xmas present in 1975… And it’s still brilliant
Rob
I don’t quite know how it happened, but shades of Good Omens struck today on my way round the M25 top down in the brief chilly lunchtime sunshine as Bohemian Rhapsody suddenly appeared from Queen’s “Greatest Hits” on my MP3 player in the car, nice and loud.
I think SWMBO has been adjusting the selections…
I stepped back to some of the best Trance tonight…
My “Queenathon” has continued tonight with these three… I forgot how much “filler” there was on “A Kind of Magic” and “The Miracle”, and I realise more than ever how glad I was that they recorded “Innuendo” - Which will form part of the last night’s playing back of all the Queen studio albums I have… “Made In Heaven” will conclude the listening, even though much of the album was produced after Freddie’s death.
Rob
Absolutely agree on “A kind of magic” - two or three really strong songs and the rest felt like the incidental film music that is was. And don’t get me started on those remixes (“friends will be friends will be friends” etc) which got tacked onto the end!
“The miracle” is a curious one - I know what you mean and it certainly has it’s fair share of B sides, but more bright moments that it’s predecessor.
The best bits of both would have made an excellent single album if you ask me.
Innuendo is an excellent album from nose to tail… which I am listening to right now. One of my all time favourites with some of Freddie’s best vocal performances, too.
