Love, Lost & Found - Frank Morgan
I have to thank Michael Connelly (and his L.A. detective creation Harry Bosch) for turning me on to this saxophonist - absolutely brilliant !

Just what I was thinking too… Could have taken the best of “A Kind of Magic” and “The Miracle” and put it into one better album… “Innuendo” is arguably the best album Queen made since “A Night at the Opera”, and despite Freddie’s advanced Aids his voice was amazing… Will conclude my listening of the studio albums later today, exactly 30 years on from Freddie’s death…

Have just concluded listening to thirteen Queen studio albums over the last few evenings, with these final two…
R.I.P Freddie Mercury…

George Harrison - classy to the end and an excellent and often overlooked final album. I’ve been watching the Let it Be films this week and it’s reaffirmed my view that he was more than a bit underrated.
I have my Dad’s “All things must pass” album on vinyl - I think I’ll dig it out later and give it a spin later.
Another one lost too soon.
Certainly getting back into listening to more music on these cold evenings…
This evening’s “Tour de Force” was this… Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland…

Tonight it was some great pop music from my late teens, early twenties times…!

Doing some major oak reshaping with ear-splitting precision routers today, so my ancient predecessors of these earbuds from my years commuting on the Tube were blocking the tool noise and instead my slightly newer ear-player was playing my five favourite old Santana albums
Santana (with bonus tracks)
Abraxas
Santana III
Moonflower
Supernatural
10pm tonight on BBC2. Phil Lynott: Songs for Wile I’m Away.
Just primed my ears with this before some “Essential Viewing”
Rob
John Miles “Music” Sadly the news that John has passed away has been announced… Along with this epic and “Hifly”, John collaborated with many well known artists over the years and will be sadly missed… R.I.P
Rob
Continuing with some more Thin Lizzy tonight - Just can’t believe it has taken me over 4 decades to buy these Classic Albums, which arrived yesterday with 3 others…! Better late than never I guess
Rob
If you haven’t already got it, you definitely need this one.
Just been listening to some Lizzy on my way home from work. A compilation cd entitled Waiting for an Alibi, the collection
The greatest Double A in the history of modern music. Strawberry Fields and then a quick flip over to Penny Lane.
Treated myself to some new vinyl - can’t believe it’s taken me so long to nab this one.
Yes, have this as posted in Post 590 above
Rob
Meanwhile this is one I frequent quite a lot…
