Crusade - John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers
Featuring an 18 year old Mick Taylor on guitar, later to find fame as the replacement for Brian Jones in the Rolling Stones.
Thanks for posting this.
In my ignorance, I’d not heard of John Mayall but this evening I’ve have been listening to various tracks including the Crusade album and enjoying them
Glad you enjoyed it, my three favourite John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers albums are the one that features Eric Clapton which is known as the Beano album, this is the one that apparently influenced a lot of blues rock guitarists such as Gary Moore and others like him, the second one is Hard Road with Peter Green, later of the original Fleetwood Mac and then Crusade.
A slightly different take on this thread, I’ve discovered a new internet radio station called Radio Paradise. It’s now my Go To station when I want to listen to something different.

There’s a lot to like…
Three different mixes, Rock, Mellow, or World Mix, all listenable.
Five Different streaming qualities available from low quality mp3 to FLAC lossless, giving CD a run for its money. Sounds great on my Hifi.
No adverts
No subscriptions, runs on donations
Very occasional DJ commentary only
Not heard same song twice yet
Apps available for android and iOS, smart tvs etc. or via website, managed to stream it on Sonos and Bose Speakers too.
Interested to hear if anyone else has discovered it or better ? For me the mix of known classic stuff and artists I’ve never heard of is refreshing.
Oh and it’s currently playing Dave Gilmour, what’s not to like !
All the best … Rich
This evenings discs were, Travelogue by The Human League (2003 Remaster with extra tracks) then The Contino Sessions by Death In Vegas.

Now I am listening to Deadmay5 - Strobe.
Melody Gardot - Currency of Man
I like your choice, I have ‘Sunset in the blue’ in my collection
Dark Horse - Nickleback.
Great top down, driving album👍
Jamie T ‘Kings & Queens
Haven’t posted in a while here, so tonights listening included the self-titled debut by Fleet Foxes, followed by David Bowie’s The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars (50 years old this one now…!) and to close the evenings listening with some Wagner…

Well seeing as it’s Glastonbury, Macca is now on stage.
So, this is a cover of a song by a now obscure Canadian, Gordon “Indio” Peterson, who recorded it in 1989, before becoming a hermit and disappearing.
Interesting comparing this to Eddie Vedder’s (Pearl Jam) version
Electoi-Molam music (traditional Thai songs to a crazy beat). Basically modernised Isaan country music. Verging on psychadelic at times
I’ve started exploring gospel, and they say one of the best gospel albums ever is Spirit of The Century by The Blind Boys of Alabama. I can tell you now it’s earth-shattering. Highly, highly recommend. It’s gospel with strong blues roots. Wow.
Also listening to Depeche Mode’s new album Memento Mori which as the title suggests is focused on death but in a hopeful rather than depressing way. Key track is the (again) gospel-sounding ‘Soul with me’ which I think just wins it to be played at my funeral…
