Very true assertion. It’s a wee bit of a shame because it’s some of Mr May’s finest work on an individual song but it always gets overshadowed by the tragedy of the song & video. The song was never meant to be a sad one- it was a celebration of (I think) Mr Taylor’s marriage but the context makes it heartbreaking

Strange coincidence, right now playing here is Gary Moore’s Blues for Greeny playing Peter Green’s music on Peter Green’s old Gibson.
I am very happy to repost the link because this CD is one of my all-time favourites! I don’t even think about how many times I’ve listened to it over the years.
That’s a great album and we have it on CD and we have the DVD of the concert he did of it.
Listened to “Absolute 80’s” on my first scenic route to Aldi of the week - Because the signal was non-existent on “Smooth”…!! Top down, sunshine out so all’s good…! And beer in the fridge 
“Rex The dog”… hifi cranked up, boy oh boys are my neighbours not happy right now 
Can’t think why!
