I think the NC is the best looking MX5. (sorry NA, NB and ND owners) I even chose an NC over an ND. My first two MX5s were NCs, on lease from Mazda and when the ND came out I was due to change, but Mazda said due to demand they couldn’t get one, I would have ordered one right there and then, but they extended my lease, by the time they could get me a ND, I had decided I prefer the NC, so brought one instead of getting a ND,

I think the NA &ND are great design. The NB is so ordinary and the NC, over its various incarnations resurrected the car from a low point.
Having said that the NC is the most practical. If you are going to do something more ambitious than doing a Mr Toad for a couple hours around local roads, then it generous boot and cabin space could be critical to your purchase
